Annual reports, an area guide and a customer magazine for a municipal housing company, with accessibility as a requirement

LKF is a municipal housing company and has used InPublix since 2014. It started with the annual reports and grew into more digital solutions.

  • Accessibility as a requirement. As a municipal company, LKF has accessibility requirements. So I built an accessibility mode into the InPublix navigation that can be switched on per report. It adds a skip link straight to the content, a menu that works with the keyboard and a clear indication of where you are. I also switched on accessibility support in the charts, and it carries over to every customer.
  • From brochure to area guide. LKF presented its housing areas in printed brochures that were hard to keep up to date. Our project team proposed a digital area guide with a map instead, connected to rent and apartment data. Letting go of the old way was not an obvious choice for LKF, and we sold the idea in together. My part was the technical one: explaining how the solution would work and giving LKF and their 10–15 leasing agents a picture of it. The leasing agents can pull the area descriptions out as prospectuses to print or send, so the same information serves both the website and their own work.
  • More than communication. The area guide showed that we could deliver far more broadly. It led to digital versions of LKF's brand platform and strategy plan, and to the customer magazine 72 Kvadrat, a new way of using InPublix.
